Echocardiograms

Spencer Hospital offers echocardiogram services through its Diagnostic Imaging department. An echocardiogram, also known as a cardiac ultrasound, utilizes high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of the heart, allowing healthcare providers to assess its structure and function. The procedure is non-invasive and typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes. Spencer Hospital has a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer on staff who is highly experienced.

Additionally, specialized cardiac and vascular medicine services are available at the Spencer Hospital's Outreach Clinic through North Central Heart, a division of Avera Heart Hospital. This collaboration provides patients with access to a wide range of cardiac services, including diagnostic testing and invasive procedures.
