Spencer Hospital Birth Center Celebrates 2024: A Year of Welcoming Over 200 Babies

The year 2024 brought joy and excitement to Spencer Hospital’s Birth Center, where over 200 new bundles of joy were welcomed into the world. The babies born this year showcased a delightful variety of names, spanning the alphabet from Abel to Zara.
“Our team loves building connections with each family and playing a part in their unique birth experiences,” shared Ann Polaschek, Birth Center Director. “Every baby is special, and it’s fascinating to see their personalities shine from the very first day. It’s always a treat to learn the thoughtful names parents choose for their little ones.”
This year, the most frequently chosen names appeared three times each, with Ezra and Hayes topping the list for boys, and Adeline leading the way for girls. Other popular names included Avery, Elsie, Evelynn, Harper, Lucy, Olivia, and Summer for girls, and Alexander, Cash, Knox, and Liam for boys.
Names starting with “A” were particularly popular in 2024. Sixteen baby girls received names beginning with “A,” including Alexis, Ava, and Adalee. For boys, names starting with “A,” such as Arlo, Alexander, and Austin, were given to ten newborns.
