Saturday Quick Care Hours Extended

As the temperatures drop and people spend more time indoors, cases of influenza, strep throat, pneumonia and others tend to increase. To quickly address these health concerns and get people feeling better sooner, Avera Medical Group Spencer is expanding Saturday Quick Care clinic hours by an extra 90 minutes, operating 8 AM through 2:30 PM on Saturdays. 

“During the winter months our Quick Care clinic is very busy and we want to do our best to accommodate people with minor illnesses to help them start their recovery,” explained Nate McCormick, AMGS clinic manager. “For example, patients with health issues such as low-grade fevers, bothersome earaches and sore throats can be treated quickly and on their way to feeling better sooner. Quick care does not replace the emergency room for critical care nor does it take the place of routine appointments and more comprehensive scheduled exams with a patient’s physician.”

Quick Care services are also offered each weekday from 3 PM – 6:30 PM. To schedule a Quick Care appointment, please call AMG at (712) 264-3500. Walk-ins are welcomed and people do not need to be an established patient at Avera Medical Group Spencer to use Quick Care services.
