Funding Priorities

Whether you designate your gift to promote health and healing, offer care to the terminally ill, or support the greatest need of Spencer Hospital, your contributions through the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation help us ensure we are “Healthier Together.”

Below are is a small sample of what your dollars are doing to enhance your local healthcare services. This is not a comprehensive list. If you have a specific department you would like your dollars to support, please contact the foundation.

Looking Forward, Giving Back

Endowment Campaign

Your donation to the Endowment fund will provide on-going investment necessary to continue Spencer Hospital’s long-standing success to enhance technology, expand treatment options and attract skilled healthcare practitioners. Assets of this fund are invested with the goal that it will last forever. A percentage is available annually to fund ongoing or new projects. This funding, in conjunction with other gifts, will provide new and on-going revenue making us Healthier Together.

If you are interested in a 25% state tax credit, in addition to the normal federal charitable deduction of your gift, please contact the foundation for more information on our partnership with the Clay County Community Foundation.

Caring for the Family

As a broad category, your donation to the Caring for the Family fund will assist in providing programs, equipment and education to enhance the healthcare experience for the whole family.  Examples include:

• Childbirth Educational Dolls
• iPad, Software for Pediatric Rehab

Prevention & Healing

As a broad category, your donation to the Prevention & Healing fund will assist in providing funding for community education and equipment that focus on prevention and treatment of illness. Examples include:

• Equipment for Cardiac Rehab
• New Patient Diabetic Education Kits
• Program funding for development of Occupational Therapy provided to Behavior Health patients

Greatest Need

As a broad category, your donation to the Greatest Need fund will assist in providing funding that allows the Foundation board to annually evaluate the most crucial healthcare needs of the community. Your donation to this fund will benefit the most urgent needs across the many departments of Spencer Hospital.
